How to Remove an Email ID from Google Contacts
To remove an email ID from contacts.google.com in your Google Workspace account, follow these step-by-step instructions:
✅ Steps to Remove an Email ID in Google Contacts
🔹 1. Open Google Contacts
Go to: https://contacts.google.com
Log in with your Google Workspace account if not already signed in.
🔹 2. Search for the Email ID
- Use the search bar at the top to type the name or email ID you want to remove.
- You’ll see matching contact entries.
🔹 3. Delete the Contact
- Click on the contact name.
- In the contact detail view, click the 3-dot menu (⋮) at the top-right.
- Select "Delete" and confirm the deletion.
🗑️ The contact will be moved to Trash, where it stays for 30 days before permanent deletion.
🔹 4. (Optional) Remove from “Other Contacts”
If the email is not in "My Contacts" but still appears while typing in Gmail, it's likely saved in Other Contacts.
To delete from there:
- Go to contacts.google.com/other
- Search or scroll to find the email.
- Select the checkbox next to it.
- Click the trash icon or use the 3-dot menu > Delete.
✅ That’s it!
Once deleted, the email will no longer appear in autocomplete suggestions in Gmail or your contact list.
