๐ŸŒ Set Up Domain in Microsoft 365

To use Microsoft 365 with your own domain (like @yourcompany.com), you must verify ownership and configure DNS settings. This ensures your users can send and receive email through Microsoft Exchange and use all Microsoft services under your branded domain.

๐Ÿ›  Step-by-Step Setup Guide

  1. Go to admin.microsoft.com and log in as a Global Admin.
  2. In the left panel, click Settings โ†’ Domains.
  3. Click โ€œAdd Domainโ€ and enter your domain (e.g., shivcloud.in).
  4. Microsoft will show a TXT record to verify ownership. Copy it.
  5. Login to your domain registrar (e.g., GoDaddy, BigRock, Cloudflare).
  6. Add the provided TXT record to your DNS settings.
  7. Wait a few minutes, then click โ€œVerifyโ€ in Microsoft 365.
  8. After verification, Microsoft will guide you to update MX, CNAME, and SPF records.
